A twin is only as good as its geometry
Geometry is the part most twin projects underestimate. The drawings are wrong. The plant has been modified twice since and nobody kept the changes. Scanning gives the twin a measured starting point instead of an assumed one.
Tell us what the twin is for: condition monitoring, simulation, operator training or clash-checking a retrofit. A twin for training does not need the accuracy one for simulation does. Paying for it anyway is the usual way these projects overrun.
This page is our service: we do the scanning and the processing. If you would rather build and explore twins yourself, Artec Twins is Artec’s software for merging site-scale scans. We sell it, install it and train on it.

Which scanner will you use?
Usually two of three: the Leo for equipment and detail in colour, the Ray II for the room around it, or the Jet where the site is too large to finish from a tripod in a shift.
Can you update the twin later?
Yes. A rescan of the changed area registers into the original cloud, so the twin stays current without starting again.
Is this the same as Artec Twins?
No. Artec Twins is software for merging and exploring large scans, which you can buy and run yourself. This is our service: we scan the site and build the twin for you.
