Vehicle wrap templating and 3D to 2D flattening
We scan the vehicle, divide it into panels on the 3D model and flatten each one into a template that fits first time. Project the artwork onto the shape before anything is printed, and get modular panels you can print, cut and replace one at a time.
- Modular templates, not one sheet
- Panel by panel
- Print and cut files
- 1:1
- Rebrand without the vehicle
- Scan once

Templates from the vehicle, not a tape measure
Wraps have long been templated by hand, from measurements, manufacturer drawings or paper templates. On a unique or converted vehicle that means panels that do not quite fit, longer fitting days and vinyl in the bin.
A scan records the real shape: every contour, panel edge, door gap and window opening. WrapStyler then works out how each curved panel lies flat, so the template matches the vehicle and the graphics land where the designer put them.

How a job runs
- 01
Photograph and scan
We capture the whole vehicle, then the detail that decides how vinyl fits: mirrors, handles, lights, arches, grille and trim.
- 02
Model and render
The scans become one clean, accurate 3D model of the vehicle, split into manageable sections.
- 03
Panels in 3D
Seams are drawn on the model in WrapStyler and the surface divided into panels. Your artwork is projected onto the shape to check how it lands.
- 04
Flatten and deliver
Each panel is flattened with its graphics on and nested on the sheet, ready for printing, cutting and fitting.
What you get back
In the formats your team already uses. Ask if you need something else.

3D model of the vehicle
The scanned shape, yours to reuse for the next design, rebrand or fleet roll-out.

Panel layout
Every panel in 3D and laid out flat, numbered for assembly.

Artwork on the vehicle
Your graphics projected onto the 3D shape, so the customer signs off on what they will actually see.

Print and cut files
Flat panels at 1:1 with notches and registration, for your printer and plotter.
The kit we use
The same scanners, arms and software we sell, train on and support. Like what you see? You can buy or hire it too.
FAQ
If yours is not here, ring 0330 229 0175 and ask for the scanning team.
Not answered here?
Ask the engineers who run the machines. We answer the same working day.
Do we need our own scanner?
No. We scan the vehicle for you, at our site or yours, and hand back the templates. If you would rather do it in-house, we supply and train on WrapStyler and the scanners to go with it.
What if one part of the wrap gets damaged?
The templates are modular, so only the damaged panels need reprinting and refitting, not the whole wrap.
Can we change the design later?
Yes. Once the vehicle is scanned and divided into panels, a new design is projected onto the same model and flattened again, with no need to bring the vehicle back.
Is it only for vehicles?
No. Anything that ends in a flat pattern works the same way: boat covers, canopies, seats and upholstery, composite plies and printed textures.
Tell us what needs scanning
A photo, a rough size and what you need out of it. We will come back with a fixed price and a date, and if scanning is not the right answer, we will say so.
