A 3D model of the real thing
A digital asset is a real object made usable on a screen or a printer: a sculpture preserved at a moment in time, a museum piece online, a prop in a film, a product spinning on a web page. The shape and the colour are captured together. The model is prepared for wherever it is going.
We have scanned for sculptors, museums, film as well as advertising for over twenty years, from jewellery-sized objects on a turntable to life-size statues, vehicles and whole buildings.

You tell us the problem
A photo with a sentence is usually enough: what it is, roughly how big and what you need to do with the data.
- 02
We quote a fixed price
Scanning, engineering time and the deliverable, itemised. Usually back the same working day.
- 03
We scan it, here or at yours
Small parts come to Whitchurch. Anything bolted down, too big to move or still in production, we bring the kit to.
- 04
You get the data and a call
Files in the format you asked for, then a walk-through of what we found with the engineer who did the work.
What you get back
In the formats your team already uses. Ask if you need something else.
Archive master
Full-resolution textured mesh, kept as the record.
Production model
Retopologised and textured for animation, VFX or games.
Web and AR model
Light, textured models such as GLB and USDZ that load quickly.
Print-ready file
Watertight, scaled and split for 3D printing.
The kit we use
The same scanners, arms and software we sell, train on and support. Like what you see? You can buy or hire it too.

FAQ
If yours is not here, ring 0330 229 0175 and ask for the scanning team.
Not answered here?
Ask the engineers who run the machines. We answer the same working day.
Do you capture colour?
Yes. The Artec scanners capture texture with the geometry, so the model carries the real surface colour.
What file will I get?
Whatever the destination needs: an archive mesh, a game-ready model, a light web model or a print-ready file. Tell us where it is going.
Can you scan people?
Yes. Handheld scanners capture a person in seconds to minutes, which is what makes full-body scans for film, games and figurines practical.
Tell us what needs scanning
A photo, a rough size and what you need out of it. We will come back with a fixed price and a date, and if scanning is not the right answer, we will say so.
