Kreon Ace Skyline — view 1 of 4

Kreon Ace Skyline

Kreon Ace measuring arm bundled with the Skyline laser scanner — portable touch-probe measurement as standard, high-accuracy 3D scanning on the same arm.

Kreon Ace Skyline Scanning and Measurement Arm

Ace Skyline combines the Kreon Ace measuring arm with the Skyline blue laser scanner, giving you one flexible system for contact and non-contact 3D measurement. Probe datums and features with the touch probe, then scan whole surfaces with the laser — without recalibrating, and without moving the part.

It is a system built for reverse engineering, CAD comparison and dimensional inspection: the wide laser line and high frame rate cut the number of scan passes, so complex parts are digitised in a fraction of the time a narrow-line scanner needs.

Skyline scanner removes without tools — switch between scanning and probing in seconds

Probe directly with the scanner mounted, in the same measuring range

Wireless probing over WiFi or Bluetooth

Internal counterbalance takes the weight away from the user's wrist

Aluminium and carbon construction for low weight and stiffness

Compensation of ambient temperature for consistent accuracy on the shop floor

Skyline Scanner Range

Four Skyline scanners fit the Ace arm, from the high-accuracy Eyes to the 300 mm line of the Xtra Wide and the cost-effective Open. All use a blue laser, which keeps accuracy high even on shiny, reflective surfaces, and all are validated in accordance with the ISO 10360-8 standard.

Ace Measuring Arm Range

The Ace range covers 6- and 7-axis arms with working volumes from 2 m to 5 m. The 7-axis arms carry the Skyline scanner with an ergonomic handle for effortless scanning; the 6-axis versions are built for probing operations with the highest accuracy requirements. Each size is also available as Ace+, a higher-accuracy build of the same arm.

Same measuring volumes for both 6- and 7-axis versions.

Probing Accuracy — ISO 10360-12

Every Kreon arm is certified to the international ISO 10360-12 standard, so accuracy statements are directly comparable between manufacturers. Figures below are for the 7-axis scanning arms.

Why Quicker?

Fewer scan passes — laser lines up to 300 mm wide cover a part in far fewer sweeps

Faster passes — up to 300 lines per second means operators can move quickly over the part without losing data

Rapid inspection of multiple components, reduced reverse engineering time, and time compression from scan to 3D print

Carbon fibre construction of the Kreon Ace arm

Need tighter tolerances still? The premium Kreon Onyx Skyline pairs the same Skyline scanners with Kreon's highest-accuracy arm.
