It’s a one-off, accuracy is critical, or you’d rather hand over a part and get back a finished file. An engineer scans it, processes it and stands behind it.

How hire works
1. Tell us the job
What you’re scanning, where, and what you need out the other end — a photo helps an engineer pick the right scanner fast.
2. We confirm kit and dates
You get a firm price for the duration, what’s included, and delivery or collection options.
3. Delivery or pick-up
Couriered anywhere in the UK, or collect from Whitchurch. First-time hirers: take the half-day training, it pays for itself.
4. Scan
Artec Studio and a laptop come in the case. Phone support from people who use these scanners every week.
5. Send it back
Courier collection on the agreed date. Keep the data — it’s yours.
Hire before you buy
Thinking about a purchase? Hire the scanner first, prove it on your own parts, and if you buy we offset the hire cost against the scanner. It’s the cheapest way to be certain — and why we’d rather hire you the right scanner than sell you the wrong one.

Hire questions, answered
Do I need training to hire a scanner?
If you’ve not used the scanner before, we strongly recommend the half-day training when you collect — the scanners are straightforward once you know the workflow, and easy to get in a mess with when you don’t. Delivery hires can add on-site training instead.
What’s included in the hire price?
The scanner, a laptop with Artec Studio installed and licensed, the transport case, cables and power. You scan and process on what we send — nothing else to buy or install.
Can you deliver and train on our site?
Yes. Delivery with on-site training is charged as an engineer day on top of the hire, anywhere in the UK.
How do longer hires work?
Day rate falls with duration: 10% off from 10 days, 15% off from 20 days, and week rates are already discounted. For rentals of a month to a year, ask for a long-term rate.
What if I get stuck mid-hire?
Ring us. Support from engineers who use the same kit is part of the hire — most problems are a settings change, not a fault.
Can I put the hire cost towards buying a scanner?
Yes — hire before you buy. If you go on to purchase, we offset hire charges against the scanner. Ask when you book and we’ll confirm the terms in writing.
Should I hire, or just have you do the scanning?
If it’s a one-off job, our scanning service is usually cheaper and faster than learning the workflow yourself. Hire wins when you have days of scanning, repeat work, or the part can’t come to us and you want the kit on site.
Is a deposit required?
We confirm deposit and insurance arrangements when we confirm your booking, before any money changes hands.
